| Talk With Toxic: MND ventures in online radio |
| So how did I get it into my head to start up an online radio show? It's not like we don't all have that moment in our life where we pretend for a moment we're on a talk show or being interviewed or what have you. If you say you never have... you are lying :) for sure. I know I have ever since I was a kid. I always wanted to be in the lime light and knew someday I'd be there. So in my mind it was important to be prepared. Radio always seemed so interesting to me, just as much as late night talk shows and magazines. It popped into my head a few months ago. And I still laughed and thought it would be way too difficult to ever venture into something like the radio business as I have had a relationship with a former radio personality and have heard and seen the difficulties of such a business. But later that day it seemed just a bit easier... I saw an advertisement from someone else in the wrestling business who had his own online radio show. And also later that day another fellow wrestler suggested that I should dabble in radio or some such thing after reading through several of my blogs. So I looked into it and put it off to the side. That is until now. I have finally registered on BlogTalkRadio.com and am beginning my new project very soon. I don't really know what to expect. Maybe it will be as popular as my myspace blogs have become or at least receive as many hits as my web page does each month. I just want to have fun, talk about wrestling which is my passion, and talk about whatever else is on my mind or the minds of my listeners. My radio page is BlogTalkRadio.com/TalkWithToxic. It includes the dial in number to talk to me during air time. It also will be updated shortly once details are figured out, letting you know when shows are scheduled, what guests will be featured on shows, and what's going on during the segments. This information will also be sent out in my newsletter, posted in my myspace and web site blogs, and here on TheToxicDiva.com. I will have an email address set up here soon for you all to send feedback and suggest ideas and topics for the show. Or if you are interested in being a guest you can reach me there too. (Radio@TheToxicDiva.com) So I hope to have my first show the last week of August or the first week of September. There are some decisions to be made on air time and dates and I will be updating all the information once it's all figured out. Hope you guys have some interesting feedback for me, maybe a few suggestions, and that you will enjoy what I put together. |
